Kitchen Renovation with Custom Accent Wall in Brooklyn

The Brief

The client wanted to open up their kitchen while increasing storage without making the space feel cluttered. In addition, they asked for a subtle upgrade to the living room that would elevate the existing aesthetic without overwhelming it.

Location
Brooklyn, NY

The Challenge

Although the home was newly built, the client felt the finishes lacked warmth and character. The challenge was to refine the space while working within the existing layout, improving function and visual balance without making the kitchen or living area feel overly designed.

The Solution

We installed all kitchen cabinetry and integrated a custom waterfall island with a solid wood top to anchor the space visually while maintaining openness. Floating shelving was introduced to balance closed storage and keep the kitchen feeling light.

In the living room, we designed and built a custom accent wall featuring clean horizontal lines and a floating wood shelf, framing the fireplace and television while adding depth and warmth. The detailing was kept minimal to complement the home’s modern character.

The Result

The finished space feels more cohesive, refined, and enjoyable to use. Storage was increased without visual clutter, and the custom accent wall provides a quiet focal point that elevates the living area while remaining understated.
